GOOGLE CHAIRMAN, ERIC SCHMIDT VISITS NIGERIAN FILMMAKER, TUNDE KELANI; GOV FASHOLA





Just last week, The Executive Chairman of Google, Eric Schmidt paid a visit to veteran Nigerian filmmaker, Tunde Kelani, at his office in Oshodi, Lagos.

The Google executive arrived Tunde Kelani’s office, Mainframe Studios, in the company of several members of staff from Google and YouTube in Nigeria.

During the visit, which lasted for more than an hour, the two men deliberated on various challenges facing the creative industry in Nigeria. Some of the issues they discussed include piracy, finance, and distribution.

The Google Chairman who also paid a courtesy call at the Government House, discussed with the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola on information and communications technology to drive growth in various sectors of the Nigerian economy.

On the side of Lagos government were Fashola, Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Dr Obafemi Hamzat as well as the Commissioner for Science and Technology Adebiyi Mabadeje among others.

The Executive Chairman of Google, among other suggestions, encouraged content developers in the country.
